The Perfect Use Case

There’s just something special about pairing a steel bike with carbon components. As perfectly put it, “carbon saves watts, steel saves your style.”

When the Spork first came out, it was only available for tapered headtubes and thru-axles, making it exclusive to more modern steel builds. Good thing Rodeo Labs also looked after old souls like us and released this version with a straight steerer and QR axle. We stocked it immediately.

’s bike is the perfect example. He wanted to trim weight without losing character, and his Spurly Straggler is now lighter while looking cooler than ever, in our opinion. We’re glad to give his trusted workhorse a touch of that Dave Bikes flavor with the Spork attitude.

We still have this model in stock, so this is a sign for all the classic frames out there. Time for a sensible upgrade. Calling all Stragglers, Preambles, and Cross-Checks — it’s time to join the Spurly club. Shout out to and for the installation.
