As you know, our love for bikes isn’t driven solely by super performance and the latest tech. Most of the time, it’s all about simplicity. After all, bikes should be simple machines and this build is a perfect example.
The Marin Bikes Nicasio is one of those underrated frames out there. With massive tire clearance and capable, versatile geometry, it’s built to go just about anywhere. And this one, finished in a stunning emerald green, brings just the right amount of spice. Truly a beautiful frame.
Now, onto the exciting part: the drivetrain. We went with GRX derailleurs paired with The Goats CX brifters and Yokozuna Ultimo mech-hydro calipers, leaning heavily into a hyper-mechanical setup—just like our recent Midnight Special build (link below).
But the owner still wanted a few performance upgrades in all the right places. Enter the carbon gravel wheels from lunwheels, the Ritchey -- Official cockpit, and our very own evadecomponents Batwing Carbon.
Thanks, Boss Dan, for entrusting us with another build! Looking forward to our next ride and seeing this beauty in action. Do you have a dream build in mind? Drop by the cycling clubhouse, let’s make it happen!
