The University Football Teams advance their Academic and Gender Sensitivity development this March 2026, under the guidance of Prof. Eloisa May Hernandez, PhD, and Prof. Cynthia Grace Gregorio, PhD, both from the UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies.
On the 2nd of March, the teams underwent an academic orientation at the stadium dugout, where they revisited the importance of academics and their responsibilities as students-first, athletes-second. On the 23rd of March, the teams’ freshmen completed the mandated Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) and Anti-Sexual Harassment Orientation (ASHO) at the UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies.
The University Football Teams believe that excellence is built by character, which should be continuously grown and developed off and on the field. These initiatives ground the University Football Teams in the culture of respect, responsibility, and effort to become excellent that the University begets.
