IF this is what Chris McCullough can do with little preparation, imagine what he can accomplish for TNT with more.

After all, right in his first game, the returning PBA import dropped a game-high 24 points and missed a double-double by a rebound in the Tropang 5G’s 101-90 loss to Meralco in Game 4 of their 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup semifinal series.

“I’ve only been two days in practice, so tomorrow we're going to work on some things, but as I said, it's going to be worth it to come back Friday,” said McCullough, who also collected three blocks and two assists in 36 minutes.

The lack of preparation did show as he made just seven of his shots, missing all his five three-pointers, and committed four turnovers as the Tropang 5G lost control of the best-of-seven series that’s now back to square one, 2-2.

But everyone knows what McCullough, who last played for the Taoyuan Taiwan Beer Leopards in the TPBL, can do when he’s in tip-top shape – when he led San Miguel to the 2019 Commissioner’s Cup title.

“This is my first time picking up a basketball in 13 days, so I'm still getting my rhythm, still getting my flow, but once I get going, it'll be scary,” the four-year NBA veteran beamed.

“It's taking one game at a time, we've got a game Friday, one game at a time, get a win, come back and that's it,” he added.
