U Y Y Community Group It began in the late 60s as a basketball team. “UYY” came from the crowd’s energetic cheer—more than a chant, it became a symbol of community spirit. VIVA UYY!

In 1971, our Señores made it official—UYY would lead the annual Santacruzan,and we’ve done so ever since! UYY Community Group is a nonprofit organization proudly rooted in Project 6, Quezon City. It all began back in the late '60s as a passionate basketball team. The name “UYY”? Believe it or not—it came from the crowd’s energetic cheer during games: “UYY!” The name stuck and became more than just

a chant—it became a symbol of community spirit. Over time, UYY became part of more than just basketball leagues. In 1971, our beloved Señores made it official—UYY would lead the annual Santacruzan tradition in our barangay, and we've been doing it ever since! From sports to service, the UYY Community Group now reaches out through meaningful projects—feeding programs, donation drives for clothes, books, toys, canned goods, rice, and more—helping uplift less fortunate kids in and around our neighborhood. 📢 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆: Please expect heavy traffic and temporary road congestion along the parade route: 📍 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝟴, 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝟭, 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝟰, 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝟯
Motorists are encouraged to take alternative routes during the procession.

💡 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘀: Each sagala is required to have their own “taga-ilaw” during the parade procession.

🐾 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: Kindly keep your pets safe and secured indoors during the parade. Fireworks, loud sounds, and festivities may cause fear or anxiety to our furry friends. Let’s keep everyone safe and comfortable throughout the celebration. 🐶🐱
