Days 2 and 3 of the BACKGROUND ACTORS' WORKSHOP are led by multi-award-winning actress and acting teacher Angeli Bayani (Norte, the End of History; Ilo Ilo), who guides background actors through truthful performance, listening and reacting on cue, working with the camera and scene partners, and building the confidence and discipline needed to support professional film and television storytelling.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for a new batch of Level 1 of our Meisner Program!

This is a face-to-face class where you can build a solid foundation for your acting. We will work on heightening the actors’ sense of truth and emotional depth, applying the spontaneity of improvisation and the richness of personal response in the actors’ performance. We then apply this strong beginning to the actors’ ability to “live truthfully under imaginary circumstances”.

Angeli Bayani is a Filipina actress, voice-over artist, and a Designated Meisner Teacher. She is best known for starring in art-house and independent films, such as Lav Diaz’ “Norte, the End of History” (2013) – an official entry to the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes International Film Festival – for which she won the 37th Gawad Urian Award for Best Actress. She also appeared in the Camera d’Or-winning Singaporean film “Ilo Ilo” (2013) by Anthony Chen, for which she was nominated as Best Actress at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival in 2013.

She was hailed by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino as one of the Gawad URIAN Actors of the Decade 2010-2020. Currently she plays as Dr. Sandy Alipio in the TV Series The Broken Marriage Vow.
