𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Captured in the rich macro world of Puerto Galera, this beautiful nudibranch appears to be a type of aeolid nudibranch — known for its striking cerata (the colorful spike-like appendages on its back) and delicate patterns. These fascinating sea slugs are among the most sought-after subjects for underwater macro photographers because of their incredible colors and intricate details.

What makes this sighting even more special is that it seems to be laying eggs. The white spiral-like strands beside its body are likely an egg ribbon, carefully deposited on the reef where the next generation of nudibranchs will begin their journey. Nature underwater truly never stops amazing us.
