In 1984, a kid from Akron was born and raised by a single mother. He never had a permanent home. But by 2000, he was famous. By 2009, he was the best player in the NBA. And when he retires, there’s a chance we call him the greatest athlete that ever lived.
In 1988, another kid was born in Akron. He was raised by an NBA player, but it didn’t look like it at first. By 2005, he was a 3-star HS recruit with weak size. By 2012, he was ready to retire with weak ankles. But, by 2016, he became the greatest shooter ever. And last year, he caught up to the first Akron kid in championships.
If you couldn’t tell, Stephen Curry vs LeBron James is a cinematic experience. Two unexpected heroes from different worlds who have fought battles of Marvel proportions. And the script is not done.
