Let's protect Verde Island Passage.

Some important facts about Verde Island Passage:

* Verde Island Passage (VIP) stretches for more than 1.4 million hectares through the provinces of Batangas, Marinduque, Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, and Romblon

* Declared in 2006 as the "Center of the Center of Marine Shorefish Biodiversity in the world" by International team of marine conservationist

* Environmental advocates called the VIP as the country's Ground Zero for marine diversity

* VIP is a home to more than 1,736 fish species within a 10-kilometer area, 338 coral species, and thousand of others. It likewise houses 60percent of all known shorefish species in the world.

* VIP as a World Heritage Site.

* Highest concentration of marine life

* Most number of hard-coral species than any other areas in the world.
