While Coach Josh is away for referee duties in Nagoya, Coach Rodel Rapusas led our classes at Tenacious Tiger Fitness! We appreciate you taking the time to share your techniques and approach to the game.

We resume regular classes next week. See you all on the mats!

Makati City's Jiu-Jitsu Team sent our teams from Uplift Fitness Gym Tenacious Tiger Fitness and Famas BJJ an invite to train with them and for some of our active competitors, participate on their Competition Simulation matches as the LGU team prepare for Batang Pinoy 2026. Coach Joshua Abella was tapped to officiate the matches under the JJIF ruleset.

We would like to thank Makati City Coaches Ethelbert Chang and Professor Marlo Marasigan for the invite and the opportunity to learn and work with their competition team!

Wednesday means back to the mats and working on our misses and areas to improve on from last weekend's competition. The aim is to get better every day-- the medals are just a bonus.

Congratulations, Vigo and Andoy, on your performances in last weekend's Grappling Industries Manila! It was a long weekend with lots of matches. Lots of medals earned, but what was more valuable was the data we gather from our matches and the lessons learned.

A huge thank you to all of our teammates and coaches from Tenacious Tiger Fitness, Uplift Fitness Gym and Famas BJJ for helping these young men prepare for this event, and to all our ever supportive parents for the work they put in on the sidelines and helping our kids grow on and off the mats.

On to the next competition!
