Pasay Voyagers - Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League

PLAYOFF FLAMES BURNS PINK...

Parehong koponan nagtala ng 14 wins 11 losses, parehong kabisa ang sistema mula sa coaches under Coach Chito Victolero ng Mapua University.

Mas defensive minded ang Voyagers, ranking 5th in Points Allowed and snatching 3rd in steals league wide. King Gurtiza 's transformation into a defensive do-it-all guy and Mun Mun Dela Cruz as defensive anchor keeps the Boys from Roxas Blvd fighting every second of the game. Christian Fajarito is always the BIG TICKET for Pasay, as he is an automatic mismatch who can hurt you inside and out. An offensive combination of Steve Nash Enriquez Lenard Angelo Santiago , Cyril Gonzalez, and the addition of veteran scorer Rence Alcoriza makes for an unpredictable core.

The Gems have a higher offensive clip, led by Miranda, Argente, and Apolonio. What they lack in size, they compensate for aggressiveness and tenacity. For the Voyagers to win, they need to win 50/50 balls, defend with purpose and control emotions by showing composure.

Head Coach Marlon Keith Martin leads the squad from the Travel City for the 5th time into the playoffs knowing full well the capacity and goal of his team. This is going to be a pressure cooker match, with no side giving in, the team that wants it more will prevail.

Let's GO Voyagers, Let's GO!

BASAGIN ANG SUMPA: VOYAGERS SEEK SECOND ROUND BIRTH

The Pasay Voyagers face a defining moment as they prepare to break a frustrating postseason curse by advancing past the first round of the MPBL playoffs. Having suffered four previous first-round exits, the team seeks redemption when they face the Meycauayan Marilao Gems at the University of Abra Gym on October 9, 2026. Although both squads finished the regular season with identical 14-11 records and Meycauayan previously secured an early-season victory on Pasay's home floor, the returning presence of Christian Fajarito gives the Voyagers a crucial interior presence they previously lacked. To finally rewrite their playoff history and establish their identity, Pasay must secure a decisive sweep against a disciplined Meycauayan opponent. The men from Roxas Blvd will need to TAKE WHAT THEY DESERVE.

BEST MID SEASON ACQUISITION OF MPBL 8TH SEASON

Rence Alcoriza — Pasay Voyagers' MAGIC BUNOT

By the end of the elimination phase, Alcoriza was averaging approximately 12.6 PPG, 1.9 RPG and 1.7 APG for Pasay.

Highlight Basketball Stats

July 8 vs Meycauayan: 26 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists — despite Christian Fajarito being absent.

July 15 vs Bulacan: 20 points, including four threes, plus 3 assists; Best Player in Pasay's 89–84 win.

July 22 vs Negros: 20 points and 5 rebounds, including 12 points in the third quarter as Pasay pulled away.

July 28 vs Batangas: 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals, with 12 of his points coming in the fourth quarter as Pasay upset Batangas 85–67.

August 25 vs Quezon: 18 points and 7 rebounds while Pasay's main scorer, Fajarito, was held to only 4 points.

And the larger context is important: Pasay finished the elimination phase 14–11 and qualified directly for the playoffs.

The reason is that his impact wasn't just one spectacular game. He consistently became a secondary/alternate scoring engine behind Fajarito, and there were several games where he effectively became Pasay's No. 1 offensive option.

The July 28 Batangas game is particularly telling: Pasay beat a 15–3 Batangas team that had won 13 straight, and Alcoriza exploded for 12 fourth-quarter points.

BREACH THE BARRIER...

5th Seed sa North Division ang inyong Pasay Voyagers. A true testament to how potent the is.

Coach Marlon Keith Martin took almost the whole season to mold a majority rookie lineup into a playoff bound squad. And that friction and adversity have polished these boys from Roxas Blvd into this Brotherhood of Men representing the proud city of Pasay.

The minimum goal is to breakout into the second round and from there is destiny.

For now, a massive congratulations to the coaching, team support, owner management and our LGU partners led by Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and the City Council of Pasay for a successful regular season.

The Job is NOT DONE, it JUST BEGUN.

FULL IMPACT WITHOUT SCORING..

In the last game against Mindoro Tamaraws, Mun Mun Dela Cruz played 17 Minutes.

Hinde sya tumira, not even a free throw attempt. He focused on what he does best; Rebounds and Defense.

The former NU Bulldog had 4 Reb (2 OReb) 2asts 1 stl and a game high SIX BLOCKS.

That's how you affect the game results without scoring. That's how role players play GREAT BASKETBALL.
