As a low budget cyclist, yan ang dahilan ko kung bakit umalis na ako sa mundo ng competition 😅

Ang mga entry fees ngyon eh para lang sa mga taong walang magawa sa pera or may big time na mga sponsor 😅 tapos wala namang cash prize or if meron man eh kapingot naman kumpara sa gastusin just to participate sa event. Di pa kasama ang ibang expenses tulad sa transpo(na sobrang taas na ng presyo ng fuel/toll fees/pamasahe), food & accomodation pa sa hotel.

Sa mga presyo ng mga entry fees na yan, ilang weeks supply na yan ng food & pambayad sa other important expenses(electricity, water, internet, etc) para sa aming mga low budget cyclists

Kelangan pa ng bike na high performance na mamahalin😅

Sa hirap ng buhay ngyon for me it's not worth it😅

Umabot sa 29,245 ang bilang ng naitalang siklista sa Marikina ngayong taon mula sa 11,363 noong 2025, ayon sa Bike Count ng Marikina City Bikeways Office.

Para sa mas ligtas at maayos na pagbibisikleta, patuloy na isinusulong ng administrasyon ni Mayor Maan Teodoro ang regular na bike lane maintenance, paglalagay ng bike racks sa mga paaralan, at pagtatayo ng mas maraming end-of-trip facilities sa lungsod.

UPDATE / ROUTE CLARIFICATION

Thank you to everyone who pointed out in the comments that Roxas Boulevard is no longer implementing the Car-Free Sunday program. 🙏

We will still keep Roxas Boulevard in our route. 🚲

This ride is also our way of continuing the spirit of the World Car-Free Day celebration last Tuesday and hopefully, keeping the conversation going for more people-friendly streets in Metro Manila.

📍 STOPS
1️⃣ Roxas Boulevard — first stop
2️⃣ Ayala Car-Free — final stop
📍 Meet-up: McDo ForbesTown, BGC
⏰ Call Time: 5:45 AM
🚴 Ride Out: 6:00 AM

While Roxas Boulevard is no longer car-free, we hope that seeing cyclists and other road users continue using and advocating for these spaces, it will help keep the conversation alive and hopefully encourage the LGU to bring the program back.
