We joined the Brusko Pacific Coast Epic in the 50km eMTB category with our Corterran fam.

The course of the 50km was wide and fairly flat on the middle section. The start and finish was tough for me since I was on a Santa Cruz Heckler SL. It was fun racing XC again. Lots of loose rocks on the course, had riders lining up on the hard pack single track. But since it was fireroad most of the way I just passed though those gnarly rocks and ruts. We had a few river crossings, not to deep. Luckily we had cloudy skies up above.

On the back half, we had a 1-2% grade and I felt my legs wearing out from exhaustion doing threshold all the way. Finally caught up with the top 3 overall of the 50km on the last 6km may be... man these young ones are super strong. Had a hard time dropping them even on an ebike. When I hit the paved road this is when I realized they were fighting for overall, gave way to give him the proper finish he deserved, but I still wanted to finish sub 2hrs😅

After 11 years. We're back at the Summit of Mt.Ugo!!! Tried our first attempt to do the summit to exit in 1 full run. This is the Summit of Ugo section. It was steep, loose, with tight switchbacks/corners and loads of laughter fun and learning... next section will be Mt.Pigingan

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE THE SHRED:

EVENT SCHEDULE
🕖 TMBP opens – 7AM
🕗 SCB check-in at the launchpad – 8AM
🕘 Complimentary food & drinks start – 9AM
🕚 Program starts – 11AM, followed by raffles & giveaways!

🔥 2. Register & Ride – Sign up, pay the TMBP fees, and get full access to the park. Bonus? Flash your rider tag at TMBP’s resto and café for discounts on food & drinks!

🔥 3. Check in at TMBP’s launchpad when you arrive. Only registered Santa Cruz riders get tokens, complimentary drinks, and a shot at raffle prizes (Tokens are for the first 100 registrants only).

4. 👆Open to All MTB Riders – Everyone’s welcome to ride and hang out! But only Santa Cruz riders will get the freebies, food, drinks, and raffle entries.

5. ☕Food & Drinks – Hungry? No worries! TMBP has food and drinks available for sale at the launchpad. You can also available of discounts at Timberland Resorts Resort and Cafe.
