The war in Marawi City has been declared over. But as a nation, we still have a long healing process ahead of us. As part of the security industry, it is our duty to be cognizant of the various aspects of security. This seminar conducted by the UP Asian Studies discussed how grassroots terrorism start, and how we as a nation can be partners in ensuring the safety of the people.

The unfortunate Resorts World incident, where in a Filipino named Jessie Javier Carlos wreaked havoc which resulted in the death of at least 37 people has forever changed the landscape of the Private Security Industry.

There were definite errors made, the biggest blunder being the inaction of the security personnel present inside the establishment. Could this have been prevented, probably yes, or at least its severity could have been curbed. Though Jessie Javier Carlos did not openly shoot at civilians, his actions fall into the category of an active shooter.

With the combined efforts of Angeles City Mayor Ed Pamintuan, Subic Clark Alliance for Devt (SCAD), Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and Sector Eleven Security Training Institute Inc, a workshop was organized to educated the public sector about the science behind ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE.

The seminar was conducted by Mr, Joey Tugung, sa Filipino living and working in USA as a safety expert. The seminar was attended by various law enforcers who will cascade the practical methods taught by Mr. Tugung to the public.

The Private Security Industry (PSI) of Region 3, under the supervision of Regional Civil Security Unit is on the path of change -- raising the standards and providing better services for the safety of our clients. Because of this, a stronger working relationship between security agencies, RCSU, and of course Sector Eleven Security Training Inc. (S11) is tantamount to achieve this goal.

We at S11 are committed to providing top notch and relevant training, with emphasis on situational awareness and marksmanship. Our years of experience of providing training, through our mother company Mountain Clark Firing Range has allowed us to hone in on the needs of various aspects of the security profession.

With our invaluable partnership with RCSU, led by Col. Bayan, we introduced S11 via a fun shoot, where competitors were representatives of various agencies across Region 3. An open forum was conducted as well to address the various concerns of agency owners, which was facilitated by Col. Bayan and Krizia Chu Tranquilino.
