Boxer Rebellion Proving Groundz the proving groundz Boxer Rebellion International: JKD / FMA / DEFTAC... as taught by Mark Stewart. (To thrust with the slash and slash with the thrust.)

MA, Combative Sports, Weaponry, DEFTAC and Core Fitness Training in Los Angeles, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Bangkok, Pattaya, Pagadian City, Manila, Colombo, Tripoli, Melbourne and Singapore. (JKD) Bruce Lee's MA is about dynamic and explosive footwork that can be applied to enhance your stand up game regardless of your background. JKD at it's highest level is about delivery and avoidance with empha

sis "in delivery" on full body weight, mass accelerated movement and recovery! While most people know JKD as a blend of many styles, in reality it is Bruce's application of geometry, physics and kinesiology in the realm of effective Stand Up Fighting. (SKD) is a Modern Filipino method with a strong Traditional Root that includes influences from Western Fencing, JKD & Boxing. Sungkite is a term that may be defined as "hooking" but more accurately defines the close relationship of thrusting and slashing and how they work together. The term Kali may be interpreted many ways. In SKD it more accurately defines the ability to "flow like a river". Diretcho is a term that means "direct" and refers to the emphasis on directness and efficiency in technique, in order to end the fight quickly. SKD is an art that includes both drilling and freestyle sparring with padded weapons and safety gear. SKD also includes CQD/Mano-Mano techniques designed for defense against weapons and close quarter defense. G**o Stewart considers SKD to be directly inspired from G**o Ted Lucaylucay's Kali, with emphasis on "Obtik". Obtik is defined as the use of stepping, pivoting and sinking or raising to power and time the stroke. (Hybrid Kickboxing) for MMA/Street: Hybrid Kickboxing is the Dynamic Blend of JKD , Panantukan (Philippine Boxing), Muay Thai and Savate (French Kickboxing)... These major styles of stand up fighting will be presented both isolated and integrated to enhance your Stand Up game. (DEFTAC) Proactive Self Defense; There are three components of physical self defense: techniques, training methods, and strategies. Techniques consist of movement, blocks and counters. The basis of these are running before fighting, and if avoiding is impossible, block what can hit you, and then strike at vital areas of the body. Training methods are the drills self defense students practice to learn to implement techniques. And, strategy refers to the plan for how and when to use techniques. Without all three components, physical self defense is likely to fail. DEFTAC is simplified/modern self defense as taught to Civilian, Law Enforcement and Military. (San Dao) meaning "unbound way" in Chinese, is a form of MMA/Combative Sports, created by IJKD Head Instructor Mark Stewart. This form of Freestyle Fighting will be fought in a single elimination, tournament system with 8 fighters competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. San Dao is Full Contact and utilizes most strikes and submissions and includes stand up and ground fighting with a 60 second ground max, per take down, in one 5 minute round. Boxer Rebellion Muay Thai Lineage & History: My Introduction to Muay Thai began in 1986 with Private Training from Louis Campos, through the Ajarn Chai/Inosanto Lineage. From 1987 to 1994 I trained Muay Thai at the Inosanto Academy. In the early 90's I began to train with Kru Vut Kamnark and was Authorized by him to teach Muay Thai. I also trained with Kru Puk Jamjuntr and Kru Nanfah Seharedecho at the Muay Thai Academy in North Hollywood. I have taught Muay Thai since the early 90's at my Gym in LA Chinatown, USC, UCLA and Mount San Antonio College as well as in Japan! I also trained at the famous Sidyatong Camp in Pattaya in 1994. Now I look forward to returning with Kru Puk and the rest of my Muay Thai Brothers, here in Thailand and throughout the World!
