EARLIER. Day 1 for the 2-Day Referee Course

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, in partnership with City Mayor Richard I. Gomez, Local Government Unit of Ormoc and Ormoc Basketball Coaches Association (OBCA) brought Coach Jong Uichico, a 9-time PBA Champion and 2-time Coach of the Year awardee, for a two-day coaching clinic. Participated by PE Teachers, Aspiring Coaches, Officiating Referees and Coaches in all levels from Ormoc City and neighbouring towns in Region 8.

WHAT IS LASER RUN?

The Laser-Run is the latest original creation of UIPM (Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne), coming from the combined event and launched in 2015 as the last part of full Modern Pentathlon competition. Athletes of all ages from 8 to 80 can participate and the event can be staged on beaches, in cities and in the countryside.

Laser-Run combines Running and Shooting in fast-paced and dynamic races including four rounds of laser pistol shooting from 10 meters distance and four times 800 meters run. Athletes have to hit a target 5 times before they can run. The total number of hits is 20 and total running distance is 3,200 meters.
