The “SIKAD ALANG SA KALASANGAN” a Mountain Bike Fun Ride and a Joint Tree Planting Activity that first conducted in Lake Danao, Ormoc City last February 17, 2013, organized and conducted by Ormoc Supreme Lions Club, Ormoc Ultimate Lions Club and Ormoc Supreme Leo Club with the cooperation and participation of the Cycling/Biking Communities of Ormoc City and its neighbouring towns. Through this event, health awareness and sports development were being conducted while preserving our environment with an Official Motto: "Health is Wealth, Preserve the Environment, Go Cycling and Plant a Tree..." The said activity will be held annually, and will be started with an Opening Ceremony at Ormoc City Stage around 5:00 in the morning after the said opening ceremony the cyclers will be going immediately to Lake Danao, Ormoc City to Plant the numerous seedlings that were already waiting at the Planting Area. After all the seedlings will be planted, a short fellowship and awarding ceremony will be conducted, where in the participating cyclers will be pinned with Lions “I Planted a Tree” Patch, and after they will received their pin, they will be required to signed the backdraft tarpaulin as a pledge of commitment to join again in the next Sikad Alang sa Kalasangan the following year.
