MARIKINA BIKEWAYS OFFICE HEAD ADVOCATES INTEGRATED POLICIES FOR CYCLIST SAFETY
Speaking on , Jetrover Ribo, Assistant Department Head of the Marikina Bikeways Office, detailed the city's holistic strategy to preserve and elevate its long-standing reputation as the pioneer biking capital of Metro Manila.
Ribo also emphasized that designated bike lanes cannot stand on their own without complementary urban planning. According to him, in order to truly protect commuters and foster a thriving cycling culture, local governments must back physical bicycle lanes with enforceable traffic policies, educational campaigns, and dedicated municipal programs that could reinforce street safety and cyclist rights.
