The Oras Arnis Club extends its heartfelt congratulations to our mother organization, Sistema Kali Kalasag International FMA System Inc., on a historic achievement!

Yesterday, January 8, 2026, the National Youth Commission (NYC) officially issued the resolution through the Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP), confirming our registration under Non-Policy No. 114, Series of 2025.

This milestone is the result of a dedicated journey. From the initial approval on March 25, 2025, to the formal release of the certificate yesterday, it has been a patient wait of 9 months and 14 days. This recognition solidifies our commitment to the Filipino Martial Arts and our mission to serve and empower the youth.

We are incredibly proud to be under the banner of a system that values integrity and national contribution. Congratulations to the leadership of Sistema Kali Kalasag—your perseverance inspires us all!

Today marks the 16th anniversary of Republic Act No. 9850, the historic law that officially declared ARNIS as the National Martial Art and Sport of the Philippines.

RA 9850 stands as a powerful reminder of our duty to preserve, honor, and promote this indigenous Filipino martial tradition known across regions as Arnis, Eskrima, Kali, Garrote, Pananandata, Pagkalikali, Kabaraon, Kalirongan, Kaliradman, and Didja. From sticks, to open-hand techniques, to its deep cultural roots, Arnis represents discipline, identity, resilience, and Filipino pride.

As the law states, Arnis is more than a sport, it is a symbol of our nationalism, a reflection of our heroes, and a pillar of education, culture, and sports development.

Through RA 9850, Arnis takes its rightful place in the Philippine Sports Commission seal and becomes the first sport played in the Palarong Pambansa cementing its national significance.

Today, we stand united with all Arnisadors across the Philippines in recognizing this milestone. We honor the legacy, uphold the discipline, and continue to value the cultural heritage carried by generations of Filipino warriors.

This evening, the Oras Arnis Club took a major step in refining our craft as we focused on revising and improving the movements of the Likha Anyo Espada 'y Daga. The team worked on adjusting sequences, correcting transitions, and enhancing the overall fluidity of the form to make each strike, block, and movement more synchronized and expressive.

The training centered on polishing the newly revised combinations, transforming raw motion into a more balanced, controlled, and well-defined performance style. Every adjustment made tonight contributed to a stronger and more cohesive interpretation of the espada 'y daga anyo.

This marks the beginning of our Transition Period, a crucial phase designed to maintain our momentum, sharpen our skills, and keep our athletes in peak condition following the competition.

During this transition phase, we focus on identifying and addressing areas of improvement observed during the Unit Meet and gradually elevating intensity. This ensures that the team stays disciplined and competition-ready as we move toward the Preparation Period, where training will escalate in structure, volume, and performance targets.

Facing older, more experienced competitors from the Arteche and San Policarpio Districts, Cyra demonstrated not just unparalleled skill and technical proficiency but also remarkable courage and tenacity on the mat.
