Romblon State Universityโs Athletics Team sprinted their way to the podium in the 28th STRASUC Olympics 2025, held at Marinduque State University, securing six bronze medals as of November 26.
Despite having a limited number of athletes, RSU delivered powerful performances across both sprint and distance events.
Contributing to this medal haul was John Jocel Estilloso, a 1st-year Civil Engineering student, who earned two bronze medals after completing the 400m dash strongly and helping the team in the 4x400m mixed relay.
Distance specialist Kay Haniel Fillarca, a 4th-year BPED student, also captured two bronze medals, coming in third place in the 3000m run and running a key leg in the relay team that secured another medal for RSU.
The bronze-winning 4x400m mixed relay team was rounded out by sprinters Kean Paul Ramsey and Loraine Nicole Gonzalez, who ran strong splits that helped secure RSUโs podium position.
With six bronze medals in the bag, The Marble athletes continue to bring pride to Romblon State University and the province of Romblon.
