THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING. 🤍
Yesterday, August 28, our court looked a little different.
We gathered for an Open Play for a Cause for Bruce, Brylle Formeloza ’s brother, whose life was suddenly taken in a motorcycle accident.
We played with heavy hearts.
We rallied not just for points, but for a family grieving a loss that words can never fully explain.
Then today, August 29, the same court was filled with a different kind of emotion.
We celebrated Ma’am Michelle’s birthday. 🎂🤍
A celebration of LIFE.
And While doing the Matchpoint - tinitingnan ko ang nangyari sa loob lang ng dalawang araw, I was reminded of this:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
Yesterday, we stood with someone in mourning.
Today, we stood with someone celebrating another year of life.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh.
A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
Same court.
Same community.
But two completely different seasons.
And through both seasons, one truth remains:
God is good.
God is good in the celebration.
God is good in the waiting.
God is good even in the seasons we do not fully understand.
Sometimes we see His goodness through answered prayers, laughter, birthdays, and victories.
Sometimes we experience His goodness through the people He sends to carry us, comfort us, pray with us, and remind us that we are not alone.
These past two days reminded me again how precious life truly is.
Life is short.
Death is sure.
Salvation is free.
We do not know how long our season will last.
We do not know what tomorrow will bring.
But while God gives us today—
Love deeply.
Forgive quickly.
Show up for people.
Celebrate their lives.
Pray for one another.
And most importantly, make sure your heart is right with God.
Jesus already paid the price.
Salvation is not something we can earn.
It is a gift freely given to anyone who believes, receives, and puts their faith in Him.
Court of Zion was never meant to be just a place where people come to play pickleball.
My prayer has always been that it becomes a place where people find community, carry one another through difficult seasons, celebrate victories together, and encounter the love and goodness of God.
Yesterday, we rallied around a family who lost someone they love.
Today, we rallied around a woman whose life we are grateful to celebrate.
From mourning to celebration.
From tears to laughter.
From remembering a life to celebrating a life.
Truly…
There is a time for everything.
And in every season—
God is still good. 🤍
Happy Birthday, Ma’am Michelle! 🎂
And to Bryle and the whole family of Bruce, we continue to pray for comfort, strength, and peace during this season.
Life is short.
Death is sure.
Salvation is free.
Jesus is the way. 🤍
Play. Grow. Glorify God. 🏓
