Following the latest update from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), limited generation across the Visayas Grid continues due to the non-availability of imported power from the Mindanao Grid.
As a result, a scheduled one-hour rotational brownout is being implemented to help balance the available power supply with current demand and maintain overall grid stability.
A new advisory has been posted. Please refer to our latest advisory for the updated schedule and affected areas.

To help maintain the stability of the power grid, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has placed the Visayas Grid under the following alert statuses today, August 17, 2026.
According to NGCP's 8:00 AM Grid Status Update, the Visayas Grid has an available capacity of 2,334 MW against a peak demand of 2,413 MW.
As electricity demand currently exceeds available power supply, temporary rotational brownouts may be implemented in affected areas.
