Students from the Second Year FSC and FSM classes participated in a Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training on June 3 at the Mini Theater, LRH Building, as part of their Prevention and Management of Exercise and Sports-Related Injuries course under Coach D.

The training provided students with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in responding to emergency situations, particularly those that may occur in sports and physical activity settings. Through guided demonstrations and practical exercises, participants learned the proper techniques for performing CPR, assessing emergencies, and delivering immediate first aid while awaiting professional medical assistance.

As future professionals in the field of sports and exercise sciences, the students strengthened their preparedness to ensure athlete safety and promote effective injury management both on and off the playing field.

The activity highlights the importance of developing competence, confidence, and responsibility in handling real-life emergencies, reinforcing the role of first aid and life support skills in sports and health-related professions.

The BISCAST Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences โ€“ Fitness and Sports Coaching (BSESS-FSC) 2-A, showcase strength, wit, and collaboration during the Volleyball exhibition game as part of their practical training in PATHFIT, last May 15th.

The activity served as a hands-on learning experience where students applied their knowledge and skills in planning, organizing, and managing a sports event โ€” essential competencies for future coaches, trainers, and sports leaders.

The tournament also became a venue for students to showcase their skills, techniques, and competence in Volleyball, reflecting the excellence and standards of BSESS-FSC students in the field of sports and coaching.

The successful conduct of the tournament highlighted the studentsโ€™ dedication, cooperation, and passion for sports leadership and development.

May this activity continue to inspire future sports professionals to lead with excellence, teamwork, discipline, and commitment both inside and outside the court.
