As an academic institution that unceasingly promotes and adheres to the principles of democracy, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) calls upon all Filipino registered and eligible voters to perform their civic duty by participating in the national and local elections today, May 12.

Participating in the election of public officials substantiates the principle that all political power emanates from the people—holding leaders accountable and demanding that they act in the best interest of the people.

As the source of authority, Filipinos are encouraged to view elections as a powerful means of gradually changing the narratives, steering the nation's progress, and creating a just and humane society.

The challenge remains the same—elect national and local public officials with due competence and character.
