Triple Class Wednesday! 🥋🌧️

A little bit of rain is back, but that didn’t stop the team from showing up! We had an awesome turnout for our morning class, with plenty of good rounds and great energy on the mats. 💪🏼

A special welcome to Joel & Baby, who dropped by this morning to try out the class! Thank you for spending part of your morning training with us. We hope you had a great time, enjoyed the rolls, and hopefully picked up something new along the way.

We’d love to have you both back on the mats again soon! 👊🏼

Monday Full House! 🥋🔥

With the storm finally out of the way, the mats were packed once again! It was great seeing the team back in full force and getting the training week off to a strong start. 💪🏼

We’re also happy to have Coach Miko Yaptinchay leading the entire week once again! He kicked things off by sharing some awesome De La Riva techniques for everyone to work on. Plenty of new details to add to the game this week! 👊🏼

What a pleasant surprise it was to see one of our OG Kids students, Hana, walk back through our doors while enjoying a short break from school! 🥹❤️ Thank you for dropping by, Hana. We truly appreciate that even after all this time, you haven’t forgotten your Deftac Alabang family. It was so good having you back on the mats, even just for a visit!

Rainy Sunday Training! 🌧️🥋

After a week away from competition and a mix of not-so-great weather, our Taekwondo crew is finally back on the mats! 👊🏼🔥

A big thank you to all the kids who showed up and put in the work today despite the rain. It’s always great seeing everyone back, training hard, and keeping the momentum going.

And just when we thought the rain was finally taking a break… it’s back! 😂 But as always, the weather didn’t stop the team from showing up. Another awesome turnout across both our morning and afternoon classes. 💪🏼

We also officially wrap up Coach Louie Ong triangle techniques for the week! A huge thank you, Coach, for sharing your knowledge, techniques, and details with the team. Hopefully everyone picked up a few new ways to hunt for that triangle! 🔺👊🏼

Lastly, thank you CresT for dropping by. We missed having you on the mats!

Triple Class Wednesday! 🥋🔥

Today was a little extra special as we celebrated the birthday of everyone’s favorite teammate, Lightning Joaquin! ⚡️🎉🎂

Happy Birthday, Lightning! We hope you had an amazing day filled with lots of smiles, fun, and of course, some Jiu-Jitsu! Keep being the awesome kid that you are, and always remember to be a great friend and teammate to everyone around you. Your positive energy and kindness are something special—don’t ever change! ❤️

Keep learning, keep growing, and keep working hard. Most importantly, continue being someone who makes your parents proud both on and off the mats. We’re excited to see the young man you’ll continue to become. Also, thanks so much for the pizza treat!! 🍕

We’d also like to welcome Liam and Mikell back to the mats! It’s been a while since we’ve seen you guys train with us, and it’s great to have you back. We hope to see plenty more of you both in the coming weeks! 👊🏼

Monday on the mats! 🥋🔥

We’re kicking off another week of training with Coach Louie Ong taking over the afternoon Gi class for the rest of the week! Get ready for some awesome triangle attacks and plenty of new details to add to your game. 👊🏼

Today also marks the final day of preparation for Coach Micaela’s quest for Jiu-Jitsu glory. The hard work, extra rounds, and countless hours of preparation all come down to this. We’re incredibly proud of the work she’s put in and excited to see her step up to the challenge.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped along the way—coaches, teammates, training partners, and everyone who gave their time and energy to help Micaela prepare. Her journey may be hers, but getting her ready for this moment has truly been a team effort. ❤️

Now, it’s time to trust the training and let the Jiu-Jitsu do the talking.
