CLSU Arnisadors Dominate SUC III, Clinch 45 Medals

The CLSU Green Cobras Arnis Team released venoms and emerged as the Overall Champion in the Arnis events at the State Universities and Colleges (SUC) III Olympics held from February 24 to 26.

Competing against 11 universities, the team hissed and dominated the Anyo, Padded, and Livestick categories.

The Arnisadors secured 25 gold, 14 silver, and 6 bronze medals, totaling 45 medals and reaffirming their strength in the region.

The CLSU Athletics Team closes the State Universities and Colleges (SUC) III Olympics run of Green Cobras by being the last team standing in sports competition.

Earning the Bronze Medal, Rheyan Angel Torres conquered the track in Women’s 200m Dash.

The CLSU Green Cobras also competed with determination on the last day of SCUAA III in Men’s 800m Dash Finals, Men’s 800m Dash Heat, Men’s and Women’s 200m Dash, and Men's and Women’s Javelin Throw.

CLSU Green Cobras Secure Multiple Medals in SCUAA III Taekwondo

The CLSU Green Cobras taekwondo team delivered outstanding performances at the SCUAA III Taekwondo, held from February 25 to February 26, securing multiple medals in different categories. These achievements showcased strong technical skill, discipline, and competitive excellence on the regional stage.

Target secured, venom unleashed!

The 5th day of the SCUAA III 2026 is still ablaze, and so is the Green Cobras Archery Team as they delivered a good release of their arrows to haul wins in both men and women's team events held in the NEUST Archery range.

Showing their grit and unleashing their lethal dose of precision top their rivals in different categories of archery events. The team claimed a total of 18 podium strikes, securing 11 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze.

From Dominance to Determination: CLSU Claims Gold and Silver in Volleyball

The CLSU Green Cobras left a significant mark on the court today, February 26, as both the Women’s and Men’s Volleyball teams secured podium finishes in a tense showdown against the Nueva Ecija Rival, NEUST Phoenix.

The CLSU Women’s Volleyball team is now at the top of the ladder. In a dominant display of teamwork and precision, the Green Cobras crushed the NEUST Phoenix in straight sets, winning the Gold Medal with scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 25-13.

On the men’s side, the Green Cobras proved once again that they are a formidable opponent. Facing the defending champions - the NEUST Phoenix, the CLSU Men’s team fought through a demanding four-set battle to earn the Silver Medal.

Although the Phoenix retained its title, the real story for CLSU was ending a long drought. This victory is the Men’s team’s first podium finish in three years, marking a strong comeback for the program.

The intense match saw both teams exchanging powerful plays, culminating in a heart-stopping fourth set that went to the limit, with the final scores 19-25, 18-25, 25-22, and 27-29.

Achieving a double-medal finish in cements CLSU's reputation as an emerging powerhouse in collegiate volleyball, demonstrating that the "Green Cobras" are prepared to strike when the pressure is on.

Bound for Finals! CLSU Volleyball Teams Eye SCUAA Gold

CLSU Green Cobras Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Teams powered their way into the finals of the SCUAA Region III Olympics after dominant semifinal performances today, February 25.

The Women’s Volleyball Team secured a podium finish following a decisive doubleheader. They first defeated BPSU in straight sets, 25–20, 25–17, 26–24, to advance to the semifinals. Riding that momentum, they swept PSU, 25–18, 25–17, 25–19, to clinch a finals battle. The Cobras will face host and powerhouse NEUST Phoenix tomorrow, February 26, for the championship at the Nagaño Gym in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.

Meanwhile, the Men’s Volleyball Team returned to the finals stage after six years, sweeping TSU Firefox, 25–21, 25–19, 25–21, at the NEUST Gen. Tinio Campus. The Green Cobras will also battle defending champions NEUST Phoenix for the gold medal.

With both squads surging into the championship round, CLSU stands poised for a golden finish.

Green Cobras Reign Supreme in Lawn Tennis Singles B

The CLSU Green Cobras once again stamped their dominance on the court today, February 25, as two of the standout netters captured gold in the Lawn Tennis Singles B championship matches at the SUC III Olympics.

Reigning champion Jayson De Regla of CLSU reaffirmed his supremacy in the Men’s Singles B division, successfully defending his title in a gripping championship showdown against the BASC Raging Buffalo. Displaying grit, composure, and unwavering determination, De Regla powered through rallies and pressure moments to clinch an 8–5 victory.

On the women’s side, Jumia Bernice Egipto delivered a commanding performance in the Women’s Singles B finals against the BulSU Gold Gears. Locked in a tight 4–4 deadlock, Egipto shifted momentum with a dominant run, showcasing precision, endurance, and mental toughness to close the match at 8–4 and capture the championship crown.
