UPDATE: The DILG has clarified that there will be no implementation of a Metro Manila-wide curfew. Cities may only impose curfew if they have ordinances in their respective areas, according to DILG spokesperson Usec. Jonathan Malaya.
Malaya said the Metro Manila Council resolution is only recommendatory, urging LGUs to pass or amend their respective curfew ordinances.

• PNP will issue today guidelines on the checkpoints on Metro Manila borders.
• Pending issuance of guidelines from the Department of Transportation on travelers, Eleazar said that in ensuring only "essential travel" will be allowed, cars will be pulled over and motorists should present their IDS to ensure their travel is important.
• MMDA GM Garcia defines "essential travel" as those involved in emergency/health services and food and supplies delivery. DILG Sec. Año adds that essential travel involves government officials doing official functions.
• Nonessential travel involve those who go out for visits to family members, who go to malls to drink, watch a movie, or do shopping. But those who travel to do their groceries, to buy medicine, or to have checkups will be considered essential travel.
