Just to clarify things. Having a longboard doesn't make you a cool person. Stepping on the board and pushing yourself over your limits and doing extraordinary things with your board is what makes you a cool person.

We'd like you to know that what we are doing is an extreme sport and we would not risk our lives just to look cool to other peoples eyes. We do it for ourselves in our own satisfaction, to enjoy and to bond with our mates and to feel stoked.

Obviously we have a lot of longboarders here in Cagayan De Oro City. Thus, we made a community. You cannot expect us to feel the same and act the same all the time because we are individuals with different minds and feelings.

When you are in the community of longboarders you'll meet different types of longboarders. Here are the common types.

*The pa-cool longboarder
- the one who has a longboard only to show it off to his/her friends

*The dedicated longboarder
- the one who dedicate himself/herself to the field of longboarding

*The rich kid longboarder
- the one who has complete and expensive longboard set ups and gears

*The local longboarder
-the one who has little yet makes the best out of what he/she has

And as you can see we've explained our side and specifically pointed out that there are different types of people in our community. So next time if you're going to bash us, please be open minded that each and everyone of us is different. If you hate someone in our community please be specific to him or to her. Do not point out "longboarders" in general.

Recently, a news report labeled our sport as reckless—even criminal—after a skater was seen bombing a national highway. We want to set the record straight:

Downhill skateboarding is not a crime.
It’s our passion.
It’s our discipline.
It’s a sport that has changed lives—giving purpose, pushing limits, and building real community.

We don’t ride to break the law.
We ride to break boundaries—of fear, doubt, and what people think is possible.

To the media:
Please don’t reduce what we do to a reckless act.
Talk to us. Hear our stories.
Understand the heart behind the speed.

We skate with respect
For the road.
For the people.
For the craft.

And we’ll keep riding, not to rebel, but to truly live.
