The UP Hamili Brother and UP Hamilia Sisterhood brought to Iloilo the first triathlon event - the First Open Triathlon in 1997. Due to its success, the triathlon event was followed with Open Triathlon 2 in 1999 and TRI2k in 2000, all staged in Miag-ao, Iloilo. Two years after, the National Triathlon Trials 2002 was held in Iloilo City, the first Dinagyang triathlon event to cater to triathlon enthusiasts across the region. Now on its 5th run, the Habagat Chapter of the UP Hamili-Hamilia will staged this year's much-anticipated triathlon event in Iloilo - Habagat Invitational Triathlon Challenge (HITCh) 2015.
