Laban sa mga tigasin ng Asian cycling, muling nakipagsabayan si Go for Gold Continental team young rider Aidan James Mendoza sa pagtapos nitong ikaapat sa penultimate stage ng 2021 Tour of Thailand.

Sa gitna ng pag aamok ni German rider Lucas Carstensen, kumopo ng kanyang ikatlong stage victory, pinatunayan ni Mendoza na totoo ang kargadang kanyang dala.

Naging bahagi si Mendoza ng mad sprint to the finish at muntik pang naka isa kay Carstensen at podium finishers na sina Ryan Jastrab (USA) at Wan Abdul Rahman Hamdan (Malaysia) sa parehong clocking na 3 hours 27 mins and 51 secs.
Dahil dito umakyat na sa ikatlo ng Best Asean Rider category si Mendoza, 19 seconds sa likod ni Sarawut Sirironnachai, na ngayon ay binakbakan na ng yellow jersey ni Carstensen.
Samantala, nanatili namang tangan ng Go for Gold Continental team ang liderato sa team classifications.
Bagamat bumuhos na ang atake ng title favorite Terengganu Malaysia, hindi pa rin nito nabura ang manipis na 2 second lead ng mga Pinoy.
Dahil dito, tiyak na magiging maigting ang bakbakan sa culminating 159.4 kilometer Satun to Hat Yai final stage.
