The IHMA Debate Society proudly acknowledges its alumnus for their performance in the recently concluded 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝑫𝒆𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒆-𝑼𝑨𝑫𝑪 2026, hosted by the Xavier Debate Circle and held online via Discord on April 25-26, 2026.

The composite team secured the 1st Breaking Team distinction with a perfect break! On top of this, Cashmere was also recognized as the 3rd Best Novice Speaker of the tournament.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy proudly acknowledges our student, 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨 of 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙓𝙄𝙄 𝘼𝘽𝙈 - 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧, for representing the school at the 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. The competition was held online via Zoom on February 21-22, 2026.

The IHMA Debate Society celebrates the success of our 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 held last November 2025, inspired by the magic and mastery of the Harry Potter universe, with a theme “𝒲𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒲𝒾𝓉 𝑀𝑒𝑒𝓉𝓈 𝒲𝒾𝓏𝒶𝓇𝒹𝓎”. 🧙🏻‍♂️🪄

Debaters showcased the 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨, proving that 𝙬𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘 can be as powerful as any spell. This event highlighted not just eloquence, but creativity, confidence, and healthy debate. 🎤🗣️

A huge thank you to our talented participants, dedicated organizers, and supportive judges who helped bring the competition to life.

It was a competition where sharp minds and quick thinking cast their own kind of 𝖒𝖆𝖌𝖎𝖈. ⏳🪶⚡️
