WITH DUE RESPECT TO PHILIPPINES STATISTICS OFFICE AND OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.

I was not able to finish my Step 2 of National ID Registration due to my Maritime Industry Authority Professional License ID not included in your list of Valid IDs.

Totally nakakalungkot and disappointing as if we're an alien profession in this country? To add to my insult, some banks are also doing the same. Kaya minsan napapatanung ka nalang if do they really know our profession? If Yes, why cant you acknowledge our profession by simply adding our MARINA Professional License ID in your list of valid IDs.

And just to get a full grasp and reminder of who we are, what our profession looks like and how we should be treated, THE WORLD WILL NOT MOVE WITHOUT SHIPPING AND WITHOUT THE SEAFARERS WORKING ON IT.

The phones that you're holding, the machines that your working, the printer your used for printing all valid IDs will not reach your place without the shipping industry.

Do i need to say more? Maybe its time that you need full attention and appreciation of our profession.

I just hope people from these government agencies dont have a seafarer sons and relatives who experienced and will experience the same insult that I received today.
