Maharlika Drakon

A dynamic team composed of homegrown competitive paddlers who come from all walks of life. We gladly welcome those who are interested in trying out the sport.

The team name is rooted in the Tagalog language where Maharlika literally means "warrior class" as its founders envisioned the team to be an organization comprised of dignified and capable athletes who excel not just in the sport of Dragon Boat Paddling but also in other life aspects as well. As with all teams, Maharlika Drakon aspires to be an ELITE team composed of dynamic recreational and competitive paddlers who espouse the values of Equality, Loyalty, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence. Given these ideals, the team and its members aim to constantly personify what Maharlika stands for. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further details.

Maharlika Drakon is launching a kapon drive for the cats and dogs of Manila, and we’re inviting everyone, especially our fellow dragonboat community, to be part of it. 🐾

With the support of PAWS, the kapon services will be provided for free. Our goal is to spay and neuter 100 animals, and we’re raising ₱50,000 to cover event logistics, meals for volunteers and staff, and food, water, and supplies for the animals.

You can help by:
❤️ Donating through GCash or pet food and supplies
🤝 Volunteering on October 13
🐾 Doing both!

📅 October 13, Tuesday | Starting 8:00 AM
📍 Quirino Grandstand Bleachers, Manila

Any excess donations will be donated to PAWS to support their ongoing animal welfare programs.

For the first time in Maharlika Drakon’s 24-year history, we stepped onto the world stage at the Club Crew World Championships 2026 in Hualien, Taiwan.

21 countries. 6,000 athletes. 158 club crews. The world’s best club teams, all in one place.

We came to race, but we also came to learn. To measure ourselves against the best. To see what world-class truly demands.

And now we know.

Precision. Discipline. Connection. Timing. Power. The relentless pursuit of every detail.

We may have arrived at our first CCWC as newcomers, but we leave with a clearer picture of where we need to go.

So we sharpen. We refine. We raise the standard. We demand more from ourselves and from each other.

CCWC 2026 was our first. It will not be our last. MAHARLIKA STRONG!🔥
