THE GOAL
With so many people leading more and more complicated lives, it is easy to understand why personal healt
h, oftentimes suffer. Unfortunately, this lack of self-regard has repercussions in the end. As a response, the Jump start Movement provides, not the latest fad exercise or revolutionary diet, but instead the proper mindset and attitude that is necessary for a truly sustainable fitness lifestyle. Its ultimate goal is to reorient a person’s habits in order to get him off the couch and hitting the pavement. Also, it aims to make fitness an enjoyable, as it recognizes this to be the only way to make it an integral and permanent part of a person’s routine. In reality, it is an advocacy rooted in the most basic human truth- that the only way we can sustain an activity, and make it last our entire life, is to see both value and satisfaction from it. By making sure that exercise is not just a task, but a truly enjoyable experience, the Jump Start Movement recreates bad habits by specifically catering to individuals who have fallen into the inactive lifestyle. THE METHOD
By combining solid scientific knowledge with unique and exciting activities executed around a community, the Jump Start Movement is the only fitness campaign that specifically recognizes the value of longevity and sustainability in any athletic endeavour. While it does recognize excellent performance, it places a higher premium on regularity and integration. It is not a flash-in-the-pan program that entices with quick results, but rather a way of living where the intent is to reach a level where engaging in a physical activity is indistinguishable from who you are. By making what you do both fun and scientific, you will not only reap the benefits of the activity, but change who you are from the inside. Finally, the Jump Start Movement is community based. It knows the value of peer groups in helping you “stick to the program.” By surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who share a common commitment to the lifestyle you desire, motivation is always within arms-reach.
