June Mar Fajardo has nothing but gratitude to God for the opportunity to represent the Philippines and be part of Gilas Pilipinas as he marked his final national team appearance in their clash against Iran in Window 4 of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Sunday.

"Unang-una, nagpapasalamat ako kay God — sa opportunity na ibinigay Niya sa akin, sa height na ibinigay Niya sa akin. Kanina nga, tiningnan ko ‘yung pangalan ko sa scoreboard. Ito na ‘yung last na makikita ko ‘yung pangalan ko diyan," said Fajardo, who contributed six points and two rebounds in Gilas' 68-56 win against Iran.

Fajardo has represented the country since 2013, with 70 games played in FIBA.
