PHI-NADO Brings Clean Sport Education Closer to Athletes at 2026 Palaro Tu Agsur
The Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization (PHI-NADO) successfully concluded its Athletes’ Outreach Anti-Doping Education Program during the 2026 Palarong Pambansa held in Agusan del Sur from May 24 to 30, 2026, reinforcing its commitment to promoting clean sport and a values-based education among young Filipino athletes.
Prior to the official start of the outreach program, PHI-NADO Head Dr. Alejandro Pineda, Jr., served as one of the guest speakers during the Solidarity Meeting held on May 22, 2026. During his presentation entitled “Athlete Outreach Anti-Doping Education: Clean Sport, Fair Play, Bright Future,” Dr. Pineda emphasized the importance of values-based anti-doping education in shaping the next generation of athletes and fostering a culture of integrity in sport.
The week-long outreach initiative brought anti-doping education directly to participants through interactive learning activities, educational games, information dissemination, and meaningful engagement with athletes, coaches, and athlete support personnel (ASP) across Agusan del Sur.
A total of 2,987 participants were reached throughout the program, consisting of 1,821 athletes, 323 coaches, and 843 ASP.
Recognizing the wide scale of the Palarong Pambansa, PHI-NADO educators actively roamed competition sites and athlete areas to ensure wider accessibility and engagement, allowing more delegates to learn more about clean sport principles under the World Anti-Doping Code 2021.
While the outreach program focused on promoting the values of fair play, integrity, respect, and responsibility, our dear participants also received educational materials and had opportunities to take part in interactive activities designed to make learning about anti-doping more engaging and memorable.
The successful implementation of PHI-NADO’s Athletes’ Outreach Anti-Doping Education Program was made possible through the collaboration and support of key stakeholders, including the Local Government Unit of Agusan del Sur, the Department of Education (DepEd), and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
PHI-NADO remains steadfast in its mission to build a sporting culture where athletes can compete fairly, safely, and with integrity. Through continued education and collaboration, PHI-NADO aims to empower young athletes to become champions not only in competition but also in character.
Together, we champion clean sport, fair play, and a bright future for Philippine sports.
Play True. Play Clean. Play Fair.
