In 1991, Mendiola FC was organized by San Beda College Head Coach, Aris Caslib, to give Bedan players
and other football enthusiasts the chance to play football tournaments every summer. It had grown
and became one of the pioneering teams joining the first semi-professional football league called the
MANILA PREMIERE LEAGUE in 1997. It was in 1999, Mendiola FC was placed in the Philippine Football
Map when they represented NCRFA
and won the last ADDIDAS CUP 6-0 vs. Since then, Mendiola FC has been consistent in participating First Division Football Leagues in the
country such as the GLOBE SUPERCUP in 2001, FILIPINO PREMIERE LEAGUE in 2007, and the most
successful league, the UNITED FOOTBALL LEAUGE in 2009. Since its
suspension in 2010-2011, Mendiola FC has never return in the United Football League. Even so, Mendiola FC still showed its competitiveness when they placed 2 nd in the first SMART
NATIONAL FOOTBALL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP in 2011 under the name Smart-San Beda FC. Now, the only objective of the Club is to return in the UFL and regain its title as one of the team
contender in the First Division League.
