UST Growling Tigers

UST Growling Tigers The UST Growling Tigers is the sports team of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas. The juniors' teams are represented by the UST High School.

The UST Growling Tigers is the men's varsity team of the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines.The women's varsity team is called the UST Growling Tigresses. Originally called the Glowing Goldies, the name has been changed starting with the 1992–93 season. The boys' team is called the Tiger Cubs and the girls' team, the Junior Tigresses. The University

has a formidable athletic program in all sporting events of the league. The University also takes part in various sports leagues such as the Philippine Collegiate Champions League, PBA D-League, Premier Volleyball League and the University Games. In honor of the Growling Tigers, this fan page was created.

JUST IN: UST's impressive offseason recruitment continues with the commitment of one and done point guard Lorenzo Abellar, an NCAA D1 talent who last played for Southern Utah. Abellar is already in the Philippines and training with the Growling Tigers. Read more in the link in the comments

Facing former head coach Kung Fu and the San Beda squad, the Golden Tigresses growled louder ending up victorious in straight sets.

The UST Golden Tigresses opened their V-League 2026 Collegiate Challenge campaign with a sweep of the San Beda Lady Red Spikers, 25-15, 25-16, 25-19, Sunday, Aug. 16, at Gameville Central Park.

The matchup brought UST head coach Shaq Delos Santos against Kung Fu Reyes, who now serves as San Beda’s head coach and Golden Tigresses program director.
