FAILED GOAL.
FULL HEART.
LESSON ACCEPTED.

We went to Puerto Galera for a race…
but what we brought home was bigger than a medal.

I missed my goal — and honestly, that exposed me.

Not because I don’t have the will.
But because discipline is not only built during training.
It is built in how you manage your time, your priorities, and yourself.

No best coach can help a man who cannot first lead himself.

But this trip reminded me of something powerful:

When people show up together…
when they suffer together…
when they laugh after the pain…

A running group becomes a movement.

This was not just a trip.
Not just a race.
Not just content.

This is proof that CYR RUN CLUB is building something real.

Progress over perfection.

Sa bawat kilometro ng Puerto Galera Half Marathon, hindi lang katawan ang sinusubok pati tibay ng isip at puso. 🏃‍♂️🔥

May mga sandaling gusto mong huminto dahil sa pagod, init, at sakit ng katawan, pero doon mo mas makikilala ang tunay mong lakas. Hindi pala kailangan maging pinakamabilis para maging panalo. Kailangan mo lang maging matatag at tuloy-tuloy sa laban.

Salamat sa dagdag lakas mula sa Booster C ⚡
Sa bawat higop, dagdag energy para ipagpatuloy ang bawat hakbang hanggang finish line.

Ang half marathon na ito ay paalala na sa buhay, maraming mahahabang daan at mahihirap na akyatan. Pero kapag may disiplina, tiwala sa sarili, at pusong hindi sumusuko mararating mo rin ang pangarap mo.

Hindi man madali ang takbo, pero sulit ang bawat pawis, pagod, at sakripisyo.
Dahil ang tunay na tagumpay ay hindi lang nasa medalya… kundi sa taong naging mas malakas ka pagkatapos ng laban. 💪🏅

COMEBACK RACE.
ROAD BACK TO FULL IRONMAN.

Honestly, hindi madali bumalik.

May season talaga na nawala ako sa training.

Business.
Responsibilities.
Staff concerns.
Cash flow.
Problems.
Decisions.

Lahat kailangan mong harapin as a leader.

And somewhere along the way, yung dating athlete version ko nana himik muna.

Pero may narealize ako.

Hindi porket busy ka, pababayaan mo na sarili mo.
Hindi porket maraming responsibility, kakalimutan mo na yung health mo.
Hindi porket entrepreneur ka na, tapos na yung discipline na bumuo sa’yo.

I am a retired seafarer.
Now an entrepreneur.

But deep inside, I am still that person who believes in endurance, sacrifice, faith, and showing up kahit hindi madali.

This Puerto Galera Half Marathon is not just a race for me.

It is a checkpoint.

Hindi pa perfect.
Hindi pa kasing lakas ng dati.
Hindi ko rin ako mag papanggap na madali.

But I am moving again.

And sometimes, that is already a big win.

Because my road back to Full IRONMAN is not only about swimming, biking, and running.

It is about rebuilding the man behind the goal.

Stronger body.
Clearer mind.
Deeper faith.
Better habits.
More discipline.

One honest effort at a time.
One disciplined day at a time.
One step closer to the comeback.

So bukas, see you sa race.

And when we see each other, let’s greet each other with one word:

“PROGRESS.”

Because that is what this journey is really about.

God is good all the time.

Every day is not perfect.
Every opportunity is not easy.
But every chance to wake up, move, work, serve, grow, and try again is already a blessing.

Sometimes we focus too much on what is missing, we forget how much God has already allowed us to carry.

So today, choose gratitude.
Choose discipline.
Choose faith.
Choose to keep moving.

Because every day is another opportunity to become better.

REMEMBER MY FAILED 28KM ATTEMPT?

I posted it not because I was proud of failing,
but because I believe real growth should also show the part where we fall short.

After that run, I had two choices.

Stay focused on the failure.
Or recover, learn, and slowly build momentum again.

So I chose recovery.

Not quitting.
Not making excuses.
Not pretending everything was okay.

Just accepting the lesson, giving my body and mind time to reset, and starting again with better awareness.

Because this is true not only in running.

Sometimes we fail in discipline.
Sometimes we fail in business.
Sometimes we fail in consistency.
Sometimes we fail in becoming the person we promised ourselves we would be.

But one failed attempt should not become your identity.

Do not focus too much on the noise of expectations.
Do not give too much power to your limiting beliefs.
Do not let one bad day convince you that your future self is no longer possible.

Learn.
Recover.
Move forward.

That is what CYR RUN CLUB is really about.

Not perfect runners.
Not perfect people.

Just real people choosing progress, one reset at a time.
