🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

📢 ATTENTION: All Bus Operators, Private Vehicle Drivers, Van Drivers, and Motorists

Please be advised that there will be an Ultramarathon TONIGHT AUG 29, starting at 10:00 PM, with 𝟔𝟎 runners embarking on a journey from Pastrana Park, Kalibo, Aklan to Malumpati, Pandan, Antique 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Runners will be traversing the Aklan West Road, passing through Kalibo → Numancia → Makato → Tangalan → Ibajay → Nabas before crossing into Antique en route to Malumpati, Pandan—through the night and into the early morning hours.

For everyone's safety, we earnestly request all drivers to:

🔹 SLOW DOWN when approaching and passing runners
🔹 STAY ALERT and watch for runner groups, especially on curves and unlit sections
🔹 GIVE SPACE when overtaking—move to the opposite lane if clear and safe
🔹 BE PATIENT AND COURTEOUS. Use low beam headlights and avoid high beams aimed at runners

ℹ️ About the Run:
This is a community-organized ultramarathon bringing together 60 runners from across Panay to test their limits and share the road as one community 🤝

The safety of our participants and all road users is our top priority. Your vigilance and kindness will ensure a safe and successful event for everyone.

🚨 ATTENTION ALL MOTORISTS AND PUVS 🚨 The Aklan Half Marathon 2026 will take place this Saturday, April 11, starting 3am onwards. The route runs through major highways in and around Kalibo and will see 1,200 runners participating.

🚧 The PNP and PDRRMO will place road blocks and traffic marshals along the course.

🚨 To all motorists:

⚠️ Slow down
⚠️ Watch out for our 21km, 10km, 5km and 3km runners
⚠️ Follow instructions of traffic marshals

Let's make this historic 70th Aklan Day celebration safe and fun for everyone. 🎉
