The Department of Tourism - Philippines (DOT) supports the safe reopening of dive establishments to promote local tourism and help travel workers regain their jobs. In line with that, the DOT ensures these destinations are compliant with the protocols and precautionary measures set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health (DOH).

The Boracay dive sites map with accurate GPS positions 95 % finished now, it just needs minor adjustments. This will open the discussion in Government of the adjustment to the Marine Protected Areas which were declared in 2001. We need to finalize and revitalize these MPA's and protect our marine resources urgently.
