If my memory serves me right, I believe I refereed one of this guy's grappling match before.

It is good to know the context behind this altercation, nevertheless, this incident serves as a good reminder for authorities and bystanders to remain aware and vigilant of their surroundings.

Jiujitsu is one of the few meritocratic journeys you will ever subject yourself to in your life.

It takes time to get better. It goes against the norm of instant gratification. It will push you physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's not for the snowflake and entitled because the bu****it meter runs everyday.

The pay off is immeasurable.

You bring lessons, stories, and memories for the rest of your life. You will develop skills, acquire life saving knowledge, and become part of an amazing community.

You will grow in more ways than you can imagine. And you will grow with people who have your best interest in mind.

That's what we're building here.

Ending the day with the people we love and care for.

This camp pushed everyone to their limits, but it brought out the best in them and it showed in their performances.

Incidents like this could have been avoided had the referee been more aware of the position and submission.

Hopefully this brings more awareness to the art of refereeing and the responsibilities the job entails.

Nobody is perfect and people will make mistakes, but negligence will lead to unnecessary injuries and will not encourage outsiders from trying out the sport.

I could only describe this day as one that is beautiful and memorable 💓

We celebrated Izzie's birthday with training attended by our ING family, a few international guests, and our Makati crew. I got to see and train with people I haven't seen for a long time and that made my day 🙏

I am thankful everyday that we have created a space where everyone can be themselves, get better, and learn skills which they can apply to their daily lives.
