Davao’s Tropical Harvest
Davao is one of the Philippines’ major fruit-producing regions, widely associated with durian, mangosteen, rambutan, and lanzones. These tropical fruits reflect the region’s fertile agricultural landscape and the abundance celebrated during the Kadayawan Festival.

As we build toward the FELET Kadayawan Festival National Badminton Tournament, we continue our introduction to the culture, produce, and traditions that make Kadayawan distinctly Davao.

The Official Prizes for the FELET Kadayawan Festival National Badminton Tournament include selected FELET performance rackets and badminton strings for tournament winners.

The Kadayawan Festival of Davao City joins the FELET Champions League, becoming part of a growing tournament series staged alongside some of the Philippines’ well-known local festivals and celebrations.
On August 22–23, 2026, the series heads to Davao City for the FELET Kadayawan

Festival National Badminton Tournament at Smash N Drop Badminton Center, bringing together age-group and club-level competitors for two days of badminton.

What is Kadayawan?
Kadayawan is Davao City’s annual festival of thanksgiving, celebrating the city’s cultural heritage, harvests and natural abundance.
These ideas inform the visual language of this year’s tournament.

Mount Apo establishes the setting in Mindanao. The Waling-Waling, an orchid strongly associated with Davao, highlights the region’s botanical heritage. Durian and pomelo reference agricultural products closely identified with the city and surrounding region. At the centre, the shuttlecock connects these elements to the tournament itself.

Together, these elements give the Davao leg of the FELET Champions League an identity grounded in its host city; connecting sport, place and local heritage without separating the tournament from the community in which it is held.
