BEST BITES DISMANTLES 2012
MAKATI CITY- Best Bites should little remorse when they crushed DBTI HS BATCH 2012, 66-45, in the curtain-raiser of last weekβs matchups.
Best Bites started like a house on fire with Piel Ordanez knocking down back to back triples and JM Serrano attacking the paint with ferocity to give their team the early 17-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.
2012 put forth a more respectable effort in the second behind Ramilo, Galang, and Langkay as they fought tooth and nail to keep the squad within striking distance.
Best Bites stepped on the gas and pumped 25 points in the third. JC Ibanez, Mike San Diego, and Serrano all took turns running circles around their opponents.
Ramilo balled out in the payoff period but an avalanche of turnovers and miscues derailed 2012βs chances to getting back into the game.
βIt all starts with our defense.β says Serrano, who was also judged the gameβs top performer with a double-double performance of 17 points and 10 rebounds. β We just wanted to come out aggressive on both ends of the floor and it just paid dividends for us.β he adds
Ramilo paced 2012 with 21 points.
