♟️ 🇵🇭🧐 THIS is what happens when you give young Filipinos a CHANCE!

Last June 8, 2025 at Hobby Stadium in New Manila, QC, 20 incredible young minds didn't just learn chess -- they discovered something FAR more powerful: their own untapped potential!

And here's what made this TRULY beautiful: boys and girls, different ages, public school students and private school students—ALL sitting at the same board, ALL playing the SAME game, ALL proving that chess doesn't see your background, your gender, your age, or where you come from. On that board? EVERYONE is equal. EVERYONE has the same 64 squares. EVERYONE has the same opportunity to WIN!

Public school students who joined for FREE, private school players who invested in themselves—EVERY single one of them proved that when you're hungry enough to learn, NOTHING can stop you.

TRUE PROGRESS DEMANDS NEW APPROACHES ♟️💙

We’re thrilled to announce that Coach Sonny Labayne— a seasoned chess coach and transformational teacher whose work has left a powerful impact on countless students and players — recently shared his expertise in an ADVANCED CHESS TRAINING PROGRAM with selected Knights Build Organization (KBO) students gearing up for tournament victories.

With an impressive history as Chess Coach at International School Manila (ISM) from 2006 to 2020 and previously at Don Bosco, Coach Sonny has guided many of the country’s top players. Through this training, he offered KBO students invaluable insights on pursuing success both on and off the chessboard.

True progress demands new approaches. Kudos to our KBO players who are bridging the gap between where they are and where they know they can be. They stepped up, said YES to this exclusive (and absolutely FREE!) live training, and are committed to finishing strong. We couldn’t be prouder! 🙌

💙♟️MAKE A MOVE … Out of Poverty

The best way to break the cycle of poverty isn’t a quick fix; it’s a lasting solution -- learn a new skill. Skills build confidence, open doors, and create opportunities that transform lives.And what better skill to start with than chess?

Last June 1, 2024 KBO conducted an exclusive training for participants from Rosalie Rendu Development Center,inc Rosalie Rendu Development Center, Inc.., a community-based social welfare agency, serving the people of Paranaque, Taguig & Muntinlupa. Our NO STRESS CHESS program was designed not only to teach children to play chess; but teaching them to navigate life’s challenges, making calculated moves. All these while having a lot of FUN! Just look at how their faces can be serious 🧐 and lit ✨ 💡all at the same time in photos.

At KBO, we believe that when you equip a child with the right skills, you don’t just change their game—you change their life.

At Knights Build Organization (KBO), we believe in equality of opportunity. It’s about giving everyone a chance to succeed. While NGOs provide underprivileged children in the Philippines with basic needs, they lack something equally important: opportunities for challenge and growth.

KBO was founded because we believe equality extends beyond providing food and shelter. Through our programs, we provide the underprivileged youth opportunities to hone their talent and develop life skills through chess ♟️at no cost.

During our fun and engaging classes, we focus on steering them away from traumas, discontent and fears. Instead, we give them something to dream about and providing them with the resources they need to nurture their talents.
