READ: The stage is set for the return of the Governor’s Cup Under-18 Basketball Tournament, with 45 teams from across Cebu officially confirmed for the competition beginning September 26.

Cebu Provincial Sports Commission Commissioner Mark Anthony Ynoc announced the final list of teams competing in the tournament.

The participating teams will be distributed among four geographical brackets: Southwest, Southeast, Northwest and Northeast.

There is plenty at stake, with the champion earning ₱500,000, the runner-up ₱250,000, third place ₱100,000 and fourth place ₱50,000.

The tournament officially gets underway with its opening ceremony on September 26 at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.
