OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF CM FARM BASKETBALL
CM Farm was formally invited to participate in the Panabo Open Commercial Basketball Tournament.
However, the team has decided to withdraw due to concerns about transparency from the organizing committee from the very beginning.
The CM Farm Basketball management made it clear that the team would not participate against any LGU-backed team.
Only today, Sunday (March 15, 2026), did the management learn that one of the teams, Justmart, is sponsored by Councilor Bongbor Relampagos, the son of the City Mayor of Panabo.
CM Farm has time and again demonstrated its readiness to compete and win against teams in various leagues—not only in Mindanao but also in the Visayas. The team welcomes strong competition and even opponents with reinforced lineups. However, what CM Farm values most is that every game is played fair and square.
In this case in Panabo City, the team is not comfortable playing against a squad backed by personalities closely identified with the present administration.
It is with deep regret that the CM Farm management has chosen to withdraw from the league, if only to preserve the team’s integrity and honor.
