Double the nudibranchs, double the excitement! 🤍🧡

Spotted on today's dive in Anilao was this beautiful pair of Halgerda batangas, a species of nudibranch first described right here in Batangas.

Despite their delicate appearance, these sea slugs are fascinating animals. Their bright orange tubercles and intricate net-like pattern make them one of Anilao's more elegant macro subjects. Even more interesting, nudibranchs are simultaneous hermaphrodites, meaning each individual has both male and female reproductive organs. When two meet, they can exchange s***m, and both go on to lay eggs—a remarkable strategy in the underwater world.

Anilao is famous for its incredible macro life, and encounters like this remind us that there's always something new waiting to be discovered, no matter how many dives you've done.

A huge congratulations to Willem on successfully completing his TDI Sidemount and TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures courses with Jon at Blue Ribbon Dive Resort!

Over the course of the training, Willem refined his sidemount skills, mastered advanced gas planning and decompression techniques, and took the opportunity to experience the power and fun of the Suex DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle).
