Our purpose in teaching martial arts is to bring out the best in our students. To teach that goals can be achieved through hard work, progress can be made by determination, and fear can be overcome with courage. Martial arts students grow throughout their training, just as people do throughout their life. It's a long road to black belt, and at Tapondo(Combat Aikido) International Federation Mabalacat City Pampanga Chapter, we think that rank progression should include students' mental development as well as physical competence. It is a road we take in order to bring out the best in both ourselves and our students.
To achieve this goal, we created a precise and comprehensive program meant to develop and reinforce both mental and physical skills. Each training rank contains distinct and attainable goals, as well as a development that leads to the next. Every student will understand exactly what they will be working on at their rank, as well as what is required of them in order to advance to the next rank, with highly experienced teachers assisting them along the way.
We ask that you have these things in mind as you exercise with us. There are no short cuts to success in any endeavor, and those of us who teach aspire to create a lifetime desire in our students. The secret to success is perseverance, bravery, and hard effort. Last but not least, you should be aware that if you join us, you will be a part of a community of students that work hard, train hard, and try their best to develop and support one another. We are delighted to have you with us because you are a rare breed.
