Please be informed that Philippine Taekwondo Association is the only
duly recognized National Sports Association (NSA) for Taekwondo in the Philippines. It is affiliated with the World Taekwondo (WT) and recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) as the official governing body for the sport of Taekwondo in the country. Accordingly, the PTA is likewise recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) pursuant to Section 13 of Republic Act. No. 6847.

Philippine Taekwondo Association is celebrating its 50th Founding Anniversary in 2026 as the leader and pioneer of Taekwondo in the Philippines. Almost half a century of developing the youth and martial artists in our country, is a testament to its commitment for excellence in producing world-class caliber athletes who continue to represent our country in the international arena including the Olympics. It has since developed a Sports Program that has continued to evolve to adapt to the modern needs of the sport and it's members. Through it's five decades of consistent leadership for the development of the sport, it has contributed in nation building through its members spread out in all major cities and provinces all over the country.

Organizing a National Sports Association like the Philippine Taekwondo Association is a herculean task that has been achieved through the wisdom and guidance of Grandmaster Sung Chon Hong. He is our North Star, our constant light that has consistently guided and united us through it all. The PTA is one big family where every stakeholder benefits from a shared effort and everyone is inspired to dream. It supports its members to start small while pursuing their big dreams. Every time one of us represents our country, we share in the pride and joy of being a Filipino! We are proud to be a part of the PTA because here, everbody is a winner! 💝🙏🇵🇭
