-OUR JOURNEY-
Our loss last year served as the motivation for us to train harder. The tears we shed after losing the game fueled the courage needed for us to give our best at this year's district meet. We vividly remember how our shoulders slumped; some of us cried openly, while others fought back tears. Deep inside our hearts, we felt profound sadness, not just because we lost, but because we recognized that we had made numerous errors and fell short.
So, we made a promise to ourselves: "Babawi kami next year." For this year's district meet, we initiated our training earlier compared to last year. The training sessions were more intense and challenging. We instilled greater discipline, with numerous rules to follow and consequences for any violations, no matter how minor. Our unity tightened, adopting the principle that "ang mali ng isa, mali ng lahat." We underwent rigorous drills and exercises, becoming more disciplined even in our use of cellphones, eating, drinking, and attendance.
Though we acknowledge the need for more discipline, comparing the effort invested in this year's game shows a significant change and improvement. Every player followed through and didn't give up until we reached the district meet. It's a heartwarming feeling to finally claim the title of being the champion.
For the men's volleyball team, the last time we secured the title and proceeded to the division meet was around 2016-2017. As for the women's volleyball team, it's their first time securing the title. Our strong motivation fueled our determination to win, and our previous loss served as the impetus to train harder. Our faith in God served as our guide and strength, preventing us from giving up.
A special commendation goes to our team captains, LYKA LACHICA and TRIXCI PEPAÑO for positively motivating the team, being responsible leaders, and not disappointing the team. Thank you for being the strength of our team. To our coach, Ma'am Donna Gift Romasanta, for your sacrifices with your schedule, your motivational words, and inspiring us by always saying, "Leave a legacy for our school, be part of history, give your best."
We are the LDNS Volleyball Team, and we proudly share our humble victory with you. One big fight, Sharkies!
